Jay Leno has had one burn surgery and will have a second later this week, his doctor said.
Dr. Peter Grossman, who is treating Leno, said he was working under a car when he was burned by gasoline on Saturday.
“When pulled out from under the car, he had significant face and hand burns,” he said.
Grossman noted that the burns on his face, hands, and chest are significant.
Leno was brought to a local hospital and subsequently to Los Angeles' Grossman Burn Center.
Doctor: Leno's wife is "obviously concerned" Grossman says he has second- and third-degree burns.
Some facial burns are more serious. They have deep second- and third-degree facial burns.
